This may not the picture they wanted to be immortalized by, at least they survived, and made the front page!

NOTE: Beginning Monday March 15, Brilliant Boy will run semi-weekly, on every Mondays and Thursdays.
I like the third panel. Did you write full sentences and then truncate them or did you string together a few related words?
Thanks, Dan. I actually wrote some sentences. Here’s the article:
Intrepid local children, Gill, the Brilliant Boy, and his friend Bookman successfully tobogganed down the infamous “Death Thrill Hill” without wiping out. When asked what motivated this daring feat, Gill replied with an enthusiastic, “Because we can!”
Many have attempted this feat only to crash on the hill’s treacherously rocky and steep slopes. The hazards that line the hill have led many to call the incline Death Thrill Hill.
The Hill has attracted many thrill-seekers and extreme sports enthusiasts, hoping to be the first to ride down the slope in safety.
David – this was a great storyline, and a hilarious ending! I thought it was awesome 😀
Same here, I really enjoyed the Death Thrill Hill storyline! This was a great (and funny) way to end the ride! 🙂 Looking forward to more Brilliant Boy!
Ha Ha definitely not the photo op they were hoping for. Great finish to a great story.
PS love the use of Baskerville font in the Baskerville Bugle, nice touch.
Does that photographer moonlight at the DMV?!
That tale was utterly fantastic. I’ve always wondered oddly about people who would swerve out of the road for the sake of a squirrel. I like animals and all, but…. 🙂
Thanks for all your comments! I’m glad you enjoyed this story. I’m pleased to beginning another story starting Monday, so stay tuned!
I don’t know who the photographer was, but that’s a helluva money shot! Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
Even that old skinflint J. Jonah Jameson would pay top price for that pic.
Go Gill! I loved this post and hearing about all the cotnicneons you & your family have made through blogging. Some beautiful links and cotnicneons that wouldn’t have been other wise. Hope all is well with you, so nice to pop in and visit. Like seeing an old friend, take care Floss xo
